Ok Beth Here Goes. This is my first blog.
I am sitting here watching the weather waiting for Ike. Even though he won't make landfall here.we are still getting some nasty weather. They have already had 1 tornado touch down about 10 miles north of us. They are also to the south of us. It is going to like this for a couple of days. I left for Gustav but decided since it was going to make landfall west of us we'd be ok. I forgot about us being on the east side of. The dirty side as they call it.
I am saying a pray for those people in Texas. My Uncle Charlie lives in Angelton which is south of Houston. He left Wednesday and went to shreveport.
I will post again after Ike leaves.

Hey, Girl! Way to go with the blog! How is Charlie. Have you heard about his place? I hope everything is ok. We've got friends in Vidor. Can't be too good. Guess what? A New Orleans-Cajun style restraunt opened here, recently. I just got some crawfish etoufee and oh-my-gosh! It's so good. Like I haven't had in 30+ years. The jambalya and potato salad is good too. I'll be going back! You'd be impressed.
